Erin

Erin is our inspiration and the driving force behind Erin's Emporium. Our world revolves around her and anyone who knows her is blessed by her kind and loving spirit. She loves figure skating and started with group lessons in February of 2007 and started private lessons that summer. Since then, she has completed her Juvenile MIF test and her Pre-Juvenile FS test and will be competing Pre-Juvenile & Juvenile this season.

She skates three hours a day, six days a week with her coaches, Richard & Mandy Callaghan, Todd Eldredge, Carolyn Tonidandel and Danielle Leong. She also does off-ice training every day, and Ballet classes. If you're wondering what all this must cost, it's a tremendous amount...almost $36,000 a year. Erin also has a fund with the New England Amateur Skating Foundation, which is a 501 (c) (3) foundation. Donations made to the NEASF are tax-deductible and used entirely for aspiring figure skaters. Every donation, from $10.00 to $1000.00, helps Erin to reach her goals of becoming a nationally ranked figure skater.

~July 2011...Erin won Pre-Juvenile Compulsory moves and 4th place in Pre-Juvenile Free Skate at Skate Detroit in Bloomfield Hills, MI

~June 26, 2011...Erin won Pre-Juvenlie Free Skate at the Summer Chiller in Fort Myers

~June 17 & 18, 2011...Erin won both Pre-Juvenile Compulsory Moves and Free Skate at the Atlanta Open

~May 21, 2011...Erin passed her Intermediate Moves in the Field Test

~May 14, 2011...Erin got 3rd in Pre-Juvenile FS and 4th in Juvenile/Open Juvenile CM

~April 8 & 9, 2011...Erin won 1st in Pre-Juvenile CM and 4th in Pre-Juvenile FS at the Florida Open in Maitland, FL

~March 11, 2011...Erin won 1st in Pre-Juvenile CM and 3rd in Juvenile Spins at the Magnolia Open in Alpharetta, GA

~February 2011...Erin passed her Preliminary & Pre-Juvenile Free Skate Tests.

~October 2010...Erin won the Pre-Preliminary Division at the 2011 South Atlantic Regional Competition. She skated better than 104 girls making her the highest ranked skater at this level in the entire South Atlantic region. Not only did she win, but four of the judges put her in 1st and the fifth put her in 2nd! That's pretty darn amazing!
